Mission Statement:
Mountain Family Homeschool strives to create an environment where home educated children, their families, and the community can develop their understanding of God and His creation through group learning specializing in lifestyle and biblical, parent-led, social, and academic instruction.

What We Believe:

• We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, revealing the three Persons of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  

• We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as true God and true man.
  

• We believe that man was created in God's image, but is separated from God by sin.
  

• We believe that man is redeemed by grace through faith in Christ's vicarious atonement for sins, the shedding of His blood on the Cross.
  

• We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all men, that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
  

• We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return, and the resurrection of His people.
  

Code of Conduct & Expectations:

• Mountain Family Homeschool is a parent led and operated homeschool group; therefore, all children are to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Additionally, all responsible adults are expected to aid in the operation of the homeschool day through activities such as teaching, set up, cleaning, classroom helpers, etc.
  

• Mountain Family Homeschool is a bible based homeschool group. As a result, all classes taught will be based on a biblical worldview and all persons attending the homeschool meetings will be expected to conduct themselves according to Christian standards. Participants will be expected to respect themselves and others by following:
  

• Because we function as a co-op, every parent is asked to teach at least one class per semester—choosing from Pre-K, K–5, or Middle/High School age groups.
  

• Regular attendance is important to the success of our homeschool co-op. Because we rely on each family’s participation—especially in teaching—consistent attendance helps classes run smoothly and supports a dependable learning environment for our children. If a parent is unable to teach their scheduled class, they are responsible for arranging a substitute and notifying co-op leadership by 9am to ensure their position is covered. Members who are late or absent more than three times may be contacted by a board member regarding their attendance. 
  

• We are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all students. Verbal or emotional bullying—including teasing, exclusion, name-calling, or other hurtful behavior—will not be tolerated. Parents are expected to address concerns promptly and work with co-op leadership to support positive behavior and resolution if issues arise.
  

• Kind and courteous behavior
  

• Rough-housing is not an appropriate form of play and will not be tolerated.
  

• Modest dress
  

• Respect the location by following house rules and guidelines. 
  

• Electronics can be a distraction, we ask that you please leave them at home. 
  

• Students should be quiet and attentive during instruction.
  

• While knives/multi-tools are useful, they do carry a risk of injury, we ask that they only be brought out if instructed by instructors. 
  

• Children and adults are expected to be respectful, responsible, and reliable in the classroom and out to create an environment conducive to learning. We acknowledge that all children are individuals and have unique styles of learning. However, if a child has a unique learning style and/or disabilities that manifest in such a way as to cause a substantial disturbance to the class, hindering the teachers in their instruction or the other students in their learning, a plan needs to be established between the parent and the board to create a beneficial classroom environment for all.
  

Problem Resolution: 

In the event of a disagreement or breach in the code of conduct, participants are expected to alert a board member and then engage in a Matthew 18 model of problem resolution. 

1. Alert a board member with concerns or conduct issues.

2. If there is an offense to another person or to property, the offended party shall go directly to the offending party and present their perceived offense to seek resolution. 

3. If a satisfactory resolution can not be reached, the offended party shall approach the offending party, bringing with him/her one or two witnesses to discuss the offense and seek resolution.

4. If a satisfactory resolution can not be reached, both parties shall be brought before the board. The Board will hear the offense and any witnesses or evidence and will reach a resolution. 

In the event that the offense is to the host church or current location, the offending party will be directly approached by the board regarding the offense to seek resolution.

2. Homeschool Co-op Liability Waiver and Release of Claims

I, the undersigned, understand that participation in Mountain Family Homeschool activities is voluntary. In consideration of being allowed to participate in co-op events, classes, and related activities, I hereby release and hold harmless Mountain Family Homeschool, its members, volunteers, board, organizers, and any property owners or locations where meetings or events take place (including churches, homes, or other facilities) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for any injury, damage, or loss that may occur to myself, my child(ren), or our property before, during, or after co-op meetings or activities.

I understand and acknowledge the risks involved in participating in group events and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of loss, property damage, or personal injury that may be sustained as a result of participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

By agreeing to this waiver, I affirm that I understand its contents and that I voluntarily agree to these terms.

3. Mountain Family Homeschool Photo & Media Release

We occasionally take photographs and videos during co-op activities and events to share with co-op families, post on our private group page, or use in promotional materials (such as flyers, newsletters, or a website).

Mountain Family Homeschool is a parent-led co-op, and each family is asked to serve in one committee or leadership role. Please review the committee leaders below and select one area in which you are willing to serve.

Membership Options

Choices:

Full Co-op Membership (classes, events, and field trips)

• K-5 $35 per student - $140 Family Cap - Children two & under are free!
• Middle/High School Students $35 plus lab/supply fees

Field Trip Only Membership (field trips and special events only) 

• This option gives you access to all field trips and group events, without the full co-op class commitment.
• Cost is $20 per family.
