La Crosse Area Homeschool Association is simply a website to help bring our broad homeschool community together.
Do you plan an activity, coop or events for our community? We want to give you a platform to help bring it to a place where we don't have to scroll endlessly through Facebook pages to get the details.
The heartbeat is the streamlined community-wide calendar to see what's going on in the community. This is not limited to a secular, online or faith-based homeschool experience - let's build bridges not barriers :)
This website is members only; not in an effort to be exclusive but it is intended for use by current homeschool families or organizations offering opportunities to homeschoolers. We maintain a membership base to keep it current. Memberships will renew annually. The $12 annual fee simply covers the cost to host an independent website. If finances are tight please reach out, we do not want cost to be prohibitive to joining!
Features available on private website portion:

- Links to Resources (websites, articles, curriculum sites, etc.)
- Field Trips and Events in a Calendar Format
- Classifieds (to clean out that curriculum closet we all have!)
- Download the App for easy access on your phone
Our personal favorite: the website generates a weekly update e-mail and sends you the most up to date information from the calendar, message boards, etc. for that week. You won't need to babysit the website to get the updates.

How does this work?
Join Our Online Homeschool Community
Sign up for membership to access the members-only portion of our website and connect with a vibrant local homeschool network.
For a small annual fee (just enough to cover the cost of the website), you’ll gain access to a full online community—including message boards, classifieds, events, and more.
This is not a co-op or a group that meets regularly. Instead, it’s a central hub designed to foster communication, connection, and opportunities for homeschool families throughout the La Crosse area.
To make things easy, you’ll receive a simple weekly email with updates on message threads, events, classifieds, and more—so you can stay in the loop without having to constantly check another platform. We know you’re busy, and this is built with that in mind ??
Our hope is that this platform is a true blessing to families in our region and serves as a meaningful support for our homeschool community.
Can I join if I don't live in La Crosse?
We know our area stretches far and wide; Tomah, Viroqua, La Crescent and beyond. If you consider La Crosse to be part of your local community and you travel here for events or community you are welcome to join!
Why do I have to pay to join?
Where Your Membership Fee Goes
Each member pays $12 annually, which goes directly toward the cost of maintaining our independent website.
Our site is hosted on the Homeschool-Life platform—an incredible organization with a mission to support the homeschool community. They charge $9.99 per family for access to their platform. In addition, there are a few other small costs involved in maintaining and running the website.
We do our best to keep expenses as low as possible while still providing a valuable, easy-to-use resource for our community.
