Cherie LaValley To All Instructors

Cherie has been homeschooling for 20 years and has 3 homeschool graduates (Brandon, 24; Dominic, 21; Isaac, 19), one highschooler (Eli, 15), and one third grader (Gemma, 8). The LaValleys have a small homestead in Rushford, where they have raised chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, rabbits, pigs, goats, sheep, and cows. Cherie can usually be found in her kitchen, baking, decorating cakes, or creating meals from the farm. She also experiments with tinctures, salves, oils, and other infusions. Before having children, she was a professional photographer, and still enjoys photography when given the chance. Her homeschooling method is to create a space where learning is natural and encouraged so that her children can find and nourish their unique talents and interests.
