FAQ

You've Got Questions...We've Got Answers!

What does an independent class structure mean exactly?

Your student may take one or more classes. The business relationship is with the instructor. Anchor Academics simply coordinates the multiple independent classes to make them convenient to you.

Am I only paying for the classes I take?

Yes. Pay the facility fee to the church and pay the instructor for you class. The instructor will pay a collective administrative fee to Anchor Academics for the coordination.

Are there any other fees?

Not other than the facility fee and the fee for the classes you will take. Most of the instructors do require partial payment of the class fee to hold your student's seat in the class.

Do I have to stay on campus with my child or is it drop-off?

While parents are welcome to drop in and observe, this is a drop-off program. If you wish to observe your student's class, please make arrangements with the instructor.

Are grades given or will I be grading my child's work?

The students will receive assignments and turn in assignments to their instructor(s) through CANVAS. Grades or points will be assigned to each assignment through the instructor. However, the parent is the students' teacher and should be aware of the student's work in the class.
