Resolved: The U.S. Federal Government should substantially reform its agriculture policy.
Team Policy debate is open to debaters aged 12 to 18, by October 1.
It is a competitive event in which two teams of two students each present and defend policy-based solutions to a current issue facing the United States Federal Government. Guided by a year-long resolution, students research real-world problems and propose competing plans to solve them. The debate emphasizes skills in research, logical reasoning, effective communication, and the evaluation of public policy. A debate round typically lasts 75 minutes.
