Children's Art Classes
The Lead-Deadwood Arts Center is offering Children's Art Classes for students in grades 1-8. Registrations are being taken this week, but there are only 10 slots left and they are filling fast! The classes will be taught by professional water color artists Jill Tesnow and Justine Burggraff, of the Sturgis Arts Center. They will begin Oct. 25, and will be held every Friday through Dec. 13, with a makeup class scheduled for DEc. 20. There will NOT be class on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The class is from 3:45-5 p.m., and we will include afternoon snacks. This 7 week session will focus on color theory and professional water color painting. This is NOT an arts and craft class, but rather is intended to be formal art instruction for students who have an interest in the visual arts!
