Q:

Can I homeschool in high school?

A:

Yes!  There are many, many options of curricula that cover required classes through high school, including Advanced levels, Honors, and AP.

Q:

Is a homeschool diploma as valid as a diploma from a public or private school?

A:

Per the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), "A diploma is a document that bears record of the completion of a course of study. If you’re wondering whether your homeschooled student can receive a high school diploma, the answer is yes! As the parent, you prescribe your child’s course of study and you can present a diploma that indicates he or she has successfully completed it."  Visit their site for more information on homeschool high school diplomas.

Q:

Do I need to have a college degree to homeschool my children?

While some states have more stringent homeschooling restrictions, in Louisiana, you do NOT have to have a college degree in order to homeschool your child(ren).
