Homeschool Safari At the Zoo

Homeschool Programs for 6-12 year olds

Discover the natural world through a variety of interactive experiences! Each month a different topic is offered. Come to a few or attend them all! Programs include a classroom lesson, hands-on activity or game, live animal visitor or special animal experience and a walk in the Zoo.

  • WHAT: Awesome Amphibians -  There are amphibians that live all over the world. We will take a look at what makes them so special!
  • WHERE: Conservation Education Building
  • WHEN: Morning and afternoon classes are offered. Each class lasts 1 1/2 hours.
    • 10:30 AM Class Dates: October 9, 10, 11, 16, 18, 23
    • 2:30 PM Class Dates: October 7, 8, 15, 17
  • COST: $9 per student plus Zoo admission. Parents and siblings may observe the program free of charge, but must pay Zoo admission. Non-registered siblings must be supervised by an adult.
  • REGISTER: Register online at www.columbuszoo.org and hover over ‘DISCOVER’, then click on ‘BIRTH TO 17 YEARS’ or call 614-645-3488. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required.
