From literary clubs and serving as editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper, to coordinating weekly communication with dozens of people as an area coordinator for a Christian theater group, I have spent much of my life writing in various forms.

My degree is from Ohio University, and prior to starting a family, I gained experience as an outdoor educator where I taught multiple subjects to groups of children of all ages through their time in the outdoors.

Homeschooling my three children for the last 17 years has also given me ample time to continue honing both my writing and teaching skills. My oldest child has now graduated with honors from Purdue University, and another has successfully completed their high school journey. As I prepare for the end of my homeschooling days, I am finding great joy in mentoring more young writers.
