Mrs. Shanthi Santosh To All Instructors

With my experience in volunteering at homeschool groups and at church, for middle schoolers and elementary aged kids, I am able to understand to my ability, of how the children learn with their keen sense of listening and following guidance, and how some of them struggle in their learning, and some fear working with numbers, etc... I would love and am willing to help students, to improve their level of skills to advance further ( gaining information and understanding the concepts), providing step-by-step instructions ( either working on a lab to understand the results, or working on math problems to solve for the correct answer), as well as guiding them to think ( to check if the results or answers obtained is correct.  if not to find the mistakes),  and achieve the goal of finishing successfully ( the materials that they learn to understand & use it).

Earning a master’s degree in High Voltage Engineering, from Anna University, Chennai (a southern part of India), opened opportunities to work for Y2K problems in the field of computer science, and other banking projects for about seven years at Tata Consultancy Services, India. After marriage and having children, I moved from working to a Stay-at-home Mom, and then a homeschooling Mom.

John and I have three children. Our oldest Joshua is a sophomore in college at Purdue. Our middle child Elisha is a Junior at High School. And our youngest Shekhinah is a seventh grader.

I spend my summertime gardening vegetables, herbs and flowers, along with guiding the children for 4-H related activities. I love to spend time at the beach, camping and hiking at State or National Parks, visiting new places, and trying to learn how to catch a fish in inlet waters, which has been very tricky but a good experience.
