FAQs

Q:

How long are your days?

A:

Our set up time begins at 8:45 and our classes start at 9am.  We are done for the day usually around 3pm.  It varies by grade and classes being offered each year.

Q:

What is the cost?

A:

There is a $100 annual membership fee per family.  This covers a gift to the church at the end of the year, our insurance, and general fees related to running a co-op including copy paper, etc.  In addition, each class has its own cost associated with it to cover the expense of running the class.

Q:

What is the expected participation from parents?

A:

There is a teaching requirement in order to join the co-op.  We cover a span of subjects so welcome input from prospective parents on what they feel qualified to teach.  We aim to staff our core subjects before adding on electives.  Parents are expected to teach one class as well as either help in another class or aid in set up or clean up duties.

Q:

Do I have to be at the co-op the entire day?

A:

No.  If your child is 12 years old or older, they can be in study hall during any breaks they have in their schedule.  If your child is under 12 years of age and have gaps in the day, then you are required to be at co-op to supervise your child(ren).
