What is TAG Homeschool Group?

TAG is a nursery through high school co-op consisting of Christian homeschooling families who have come together to enrich our children with faith-based group classes. We meet on Fridays throughout the calendar school year. TAG begins in September and ends at the beginning of May.

TAG's mission is to encourage homeschool parents and promote Christian values through prayer support.  Also, to provide fellowship and fun learning experiences for these homeschooling families in a caring and respectful environment.

Because TAG is co-op, parents are expected to share in the duties of operation. Our amazing members pitch in and help when necessary; whether it’s room set-up, cleaning, or organizing an event, it’s made possible through everyone’s willingness to contribute.

Are you accepting new students?

Are there additional activities available at TAG?

Yes!

We plan various field trips and have fun classroom events throughout the year, including a Valentine's party, mismatch day, pajama day, and crazy hair day. Students visit local parks to stay in touch over the summer and start the school year with an end-of-the-summer kickoff picnic!

In addition, we have an annual yearbook created by members, which is formatted by a volunteer coordinator, professionally printed, and made available for purchase (optional).

For older homeschooled students, we hold an annual Graduation Ceremony and a biannual Career Fair (for members and non-members). For more information, please contact: taghighschool101@gmail.com

Are parents allowed to drop their children off at TAG or is there something available for parents?

Lower Track (Nursery - 7th grade) set classes - No drop-offs are allowed.  Because TAG is a co-op, it requires the help of parents to run it.  Parents are required to sign up for various duties at the co-op, such as monitoring a class, preschool teacher, nursery helper, etc.  If a parent is not helping out that day, there is a "Parents’ Time" where parents can gather to socialize with each other as well as receive announcements about upcoming activities, homeschooling information, field trips, etc.  A little later, there is usually a talk facilitated by one of the parents that pertains to homeschooling.

Upper Track (6th - 12th grade) a la carte classes - All upper track classes at TAG are considered “open campus,” so students may be dropped off, although parents are expected to fulfill a small number of campus/hall monitor hours.  Since TAG is an open campus, with students arriving and departing at different times, instructors and administrators can’t be held responsible for each student’s whereabouts.  Parents are welcome to stay if they desire.

May I came visit the co-op?

Yes!  We encourage it.  It gives you, as a parent, an opportunity to evaluate whether TAG is a good fit for your family.  In addition, it gives our administrator the opportunity to meet your family and help you determine whether TAG is a good fit.
