How to Become a Member

Welcome to the membership information page of the Northeast Arkansas Christian Home Educators (CHE).  There are several items you will need to consider as you think about the possibility of joining CHE.  The most important is that CHE is a support group that is intentionally and unapologetically Christian in orientation.  Each member must be a professing follower of Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a local church.  If you do not meet that qualification at this time we would love to introduce you to Christ (click here) and help you to find a church in your area.

If you are already a follower of Christ and an active member of a local church and desire to join CHE, you will need to print out and complete our Application Packet (click here or on the "Application Packet" tab to the left).  Be sure to provide your Pastor or other church leader a stamped and addressed envelope when you give them the "Instructions for Pastoral Recommendation Letter" page.

If you have any other questions regarding CHE or the application process, you may contact our president at jonesboroche@gmail.com.

It is important to understand that approval for CHE membership does NOT constitute participation in our Cooperative Learning Day (Co-op).  If approved for membership in CHE you will receive a link to register for CO-OP participation forms for the next available semester.  The Co-op participation on-line sign up link will be posted through the website email forum near July 1 for the Fall semester and December 1 for the Spring semester.

Arkansas Notice of Intent to Homeschool

To legally homeschool in Arkansas, you must submit a Notice of Intent to Homeschool form to your local public school superintendent or to the Arkansas Department of Education. This form serves as the official notification of your intention to homeschool your child.
