State Qualifying Standards. A special thank you to the Track and Field Advisory members and Rules Clinician, John Persoon, who assisted mightily in this process. Because of the change this year from a 2-class to a 3-class system, the standards have been modified for this first meet and will gradually return to the average of 5th place/5-years standard over time. For 2022, Class A will use the average 7th place from the previous 5 Class A state meets. Class AA will use the average 7th place from the previous 5 Class AA state meets. Class AAA will use the average 6th place from the previous 5 Class AA meets. For each subsequent year, we will average the 2022 standard and the new 5th place result from each of the three classes.
