Classical Choir

Classical Christian Choir of Central Kentucky

We encourage new families to join us and past members to return! If you're not sure whether choir membership would be valuable for your student, please consider reading through the Mission and Goals of the choir. You can also read testimonials from past and current parents and students.

Also see Choir Goals and "Who Should Join the Choir?" at the end of this email.

Choral singing and music training is worthwhile,

enriching, and beneficial for all students!

See details about age range and goals of each age group at classicalchristianchoir.org

>> Students may have brief assignments to do during the weeks they do not have rehearsal. <<

Concert details to be announced - it's possible we will not be able to have a concert but we will hope to find some way to share our music.

**Age ranges are approximate. 7th and 8th grade students may join either group, based on their vocal "age".

If in doubt about the right choir for your student, please contact Leigh Ann Pierce.

Alumni/choir graduates welcome to participate tuition-free!

Please share this information with co-ops, support groups, and other homeschool associations.

Public and private school students also welcome!

Rehearsal location to be announced - hopefully at Grace Church Elizabethtown, 1495 Bacon Creek Rd., Elizabethtown

Choir Goals

Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2: 2-4

To use music as a vehicle to deepen students' relationship with and adoration of God.

To teach music skills such as vocal technique, note-reading, following choral directions, understanding scales and harmony, musical interpretation, and sight singing.

To develop musicianship of each member and teach appreciation of enriching, time-honored, artistic music, specifically classical and traditional sacred styles.

To develop students' skill and understanding of music and worship in order to enhance their influence and involvement in their own churches.

To develop the choral unit as a team which seeks to glorify God together, focusing on group goals and God-centeredness more than on personal fulfillment.

To strive for excellence in performance.

To seek opportunities to use music to bless and minister to others.

~ Mission Statement ~

Classical Christian Choir exists to lead students in worship and musicianship through high quality choral literature; balancing education, performance, and service; glorifying God in our lives and in our music skills.

Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God. Psalm 147:1

Students/families are welcome to attend several rehearsals to check things out with no obligation to join.
