About Grace Co-Op

Grace Homeschool Co-Op is a family-focused, Christian-based co-op that offers primarily enrichment classes, with a possibility of a few academic options provided.

Family-focused means we are NOT a drop-off co-op and we require all families to have an adult family member present for the entire co-op day AND help in some capacity. The help could be teaching a class, assisting in a class, hall monitoring, cleaning, or floating to cover absences. 

Grace Co-Op meets for 10 Fridays every Fall and Spring in the Denison, Texas area. We begin our day at 9:30 AM with morning reception, allowing parents to get coffee and treats, drop off materials, while the children play board games, draw, or visit with friends. At 10 AM we begin our class day with Chapel, followed by two 40-minute classes, a 45-minute lunch & recess time, and two more 40-minute classes. We will end with a closing assembly, and cleaning up the church. Our day should be complete by 3 pm. 

We strive for our classes to be enrichment classes, either teaching life skills or classes that are extracurricular-type classes such as art, music, science experiments, geography/cultures, literature-based learning, etc.  Occasionally, we will have an academic option provided for those who would like to sign up for this option. These classes are primarily parent-taught, and created by the parent. No formal curriculum is used by Grace Co-Op. 

Our homeschool co-op fees are $100 family fee to be paid upon acceptance into the co-op. Some of the classes will also have a fee associated with them to cover the cost of supplies. Our attempt is to keep the class fees low, ranging between $0 and $20, but this will vary depending on the classes being taught each semester. Each age-group, which also varies from semester to semester, will have the opportunity to chose from two to three classes per period, which allows you to control the cost and chose what interests your child the most.
