Welcome to Camp Jr. Mountaineer, a summer STEM day camp for kids held at Schreiner University. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These areas are, and will remain, in high demand by employers. Our goal is to foster an early love of these subjects in children. If you're worried your kids will riot if they have to attend "more school" over the summer break, don't worry! We have cleverly designed each class to keep kids so busy having fun ,they won't even realize they're learning.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Campers will have the amazing opportunity of using Scrheiner's professional audio and visual equipment to create their own movie trailer. Each child will have a turn in writing part of the script, directing the shoot, editing the footage, and adding sound and music. The will have access to a green screen, iMac computer lab, filming room, podcast booth, and more. At the end of the session parents are invited to a "Movie Night" to watch the finished product
