Happy New Year All! I hope everyone is staying warm and safe. I am the Outreach Programs Director at GSSM and I have the distinct pleasure of developing, delivering, and directing a variety of STEM programs for middle school students. Some programs are offered here at GSSM and others all across the state. If you haven't heard about our programs, I invite you to peruse our website to see what we offer. We share our middle school program information with school districts, private schools, and home school associations. I am in the process of establishing a home school contact list for the Hartsville community so that we can share a few free GSSM local program opportunities available this spring that your student(s) may be interested in. (Marty, I'm not sure what HHE stands for, but it sounds interesting!)

  • We are delighted to introduce our newest program Spark with one day after school workshops centered on Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for grades 6-8. Workshop descriptions, dates, and registration are online. Space is limited to 15 per workshop and fill up quickly.
  • Ever wanted to take a look inside our school? Then you'll want to attend Inside GSSM , our annual open house. From 10 am till 2 pm on February 24th there will be a variety of STEM activities for grades 3-8 hosted by our talented Govies, faculty and staff. It will be a fun day for the whole family!

Below are fliers with more information, but if you have any questions feel free to contact me. If you are interested in getting more information like this in the future, please let me know! Have a great day!

Kind Regards,
Irene Middleton, M Ed
