Additional Information

The local chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas

have planned a special treat for homeschooled students!

Every March they go to a local school to share the contents of a special Texas pioneer trunk.

Yes, a trunk!

It might even have been on a wagon that came to Texas before it was a State.

Inside are special things that a pioneer family would need to settle down and enjoy life.

This year, it is Tyler homeschoolers' turn for this free educational demonstration!
