Homeschool Playgroup!
Please join us for an open playgroup at Brookshire's Wildlife Museum Park! We are there to let the kids run off steam and get to know each other. Our group meets just inside the second fence of the park- convenient for seeing kids on both ends. There are nice bathroom facilities and a sweet little country store inside.
This is NOT a drop off event. A parent or guardian needs to be present with their children at all times. Children need to be accompanied to the bathroom or country store areas by either a parent or teenaged sibling. As a rule of thumb, we leave the park better than when we came. Brookshire's gives us free access and lets us reserve an area for our use, so as our thank you to them, we ask that you abide by their rules and ours as well while there.
Generally, our kids coming range from just able to walk to about 16 years old. Kids love to play tag and just hang out. Mamas get a moment of relative quiet, some time to talk shop, glean some advice, and just have fun together. If you are looking for more information about homeschooling, are needing to make some new friends for you or your children, or are just looking for a safe place to let off some of that pent up energy, this is the place:).
