Homeschool Skating
This event is run by GABC and is open to all homeschoolers in East Texas.
Green Acres Baptist Church offers Homeschool Skating each Friday FREE to area homeschoolers. Skating is held in the gym of the Family Life Center. This is the building right off of Troup Hwy and faces the Chapel. Please read through all instructions below.
- No skates to be worn outside of the gym. This includes the restroom, water fountain, and snack area. Per GABC request.
- Snacks and drinks can be purchased and consumed in the snack area. GABC has requested that we bring our own water bottles, this saves their cups(donated by Dairy Queen) for use in other areas of their ministry.
- This is NOT A DROP OFF event.
- Smaller children make bring ride-on type toys. NO SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS, or RIPSTIKS. In the past these have been allowed but were found to scar the floor too badly.
- PLEASE SIGN IN upon arrival. From time to time their Recreation Minister will review the amount of people in attendance to skating. If the sign in sheet is not well populated they will assume the gym could be used better in other ways.
- Please clear the gym promptly at 3:00pm so they may adhere to their schedule.

Lastly, let's be a blessing to the staff of GABC and the Family Life Center. Look around before you leave and pick up any trash and return roller skates to the window.
