Statements of Faith

Purpose of CFS Valley Center

Our Purpose is to support and encourage private Christian home-educating families from a Biblical perspective. We seek to help each other bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord as commanded in Ephesians 6:4.

Statements of Faith

We believe the Bible alone to be the only divinely inspired and eternal Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed. (Psalm 119:89, 152, Isaiah 40:8, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

We believe that there is but one God only, eternally co-existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are themselves co-eternal and coequal.  (Colossians 1:16-19)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in the sufficiency of His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension and His personal return in power and glory. We affirm that all the fullness of God was revealed in Christ in bodily form. (Hebrews 1, 1 Peter 2:24, Acts 5:30, Acts 1:9, Colossians 1:19, 2:9-10)

We believe salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by faith alone in Christ alone, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6; John 3: 14-17; Romans 10:9-10)

We testify that the right and authority to become sons and daughters of God is not based on our own efforts, but is found by belief in Jesus Christ and the absolute sufficiency of His finished work on the cross to redeem mankind. (John 1:12; 1 John 5:11-13)

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male and female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image of God. Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. (Genesis 1:26-27)

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in the Bible. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who married to each other. (Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:18; 1 Corinthians 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4)

Educational Philosophy

We believe God in His Word gives parents the responsibility and authority to educate their children with a God-centered worldview. (Deuteronomy 6:6-8, 11:118-21; Psalm 1:1-2; Luke 6:40; Colossians 3:17)
