Additional Information

*If you want to participate in the Legoland field trip, you should RSVP by email to Susan rather than waiting until park day to sign up since other groups have been invited and the field trip could fill up*

Email Susan to hold your spot

Pay with PayPal right away or bring cash to park day to hold your spot

Because this is an educational field trip, if you don't sign up for the 45 min class at 1:00  for your age appropriate children, you could get bumped from the field trip.  This would happen if classes are still open but the general field trip is full and others who want to join sign up for the open spots in the classes.

--------------

This Legoland educational field trip with class opportunities is by invitation only to specific CFS groups (please do not forward this information to others).

DATE/TIME

Wednesday, March 16th  ***meet at the Legoland entrance gates between 9:30 and 9:45 to receive your tickets***

(a few rides open at 9:30 - remainder of rides open at 10am - park closes at 6pm)

Deadline to RSVP and pay is Friday, February 12th; however, there are other groups invited and it could fill up before this date.

CLASS OPPORTUNITIES

There are two 45 minute class opportunities available and both classes will be held at 1pm.  The first class is Robotics for Young Beginners (target grade is 1st-3rd, but interested 6 year olds in kindergarten are also welcome to sign up).  The second class is Adventure Bots (for 4th-8th grades).  Children who are taking a class and the adults who sign up to chaperone the class are the only ones allowed in the class.

COST (with or without class participation)

One adult per family registration (graduated children are considered adults)

$40 includes one adult with one, two, or three children. $10 each additional child. (age two and under are free)

One parking pass will be given per family bringing three or more children age three or older - see parking information below for those bringing fewer than 3 children.

HOW TO REGISTER*

You can reply to this email with the number of children age three and above you will be bringing.  If you prefer you can wait until park day, but space is not guaranteed at that time.  If your children are in the appropriate grades and would like to participate in a class, please also tell me the child's name, grade, and age.  Also let me know if you would like to help chaperone the class (siblings not taking the class will not be allowed in the class, so please do not sign up to help if you have other children...unless they will be in the other class or you enlist another adult to take care of your children during the class time).

HOW TO PAY

To complete your registration you can pay me with cash or use PayPal and choose transfer money to a friend to mail4johnsons@gmail.com (you must do this as a transfer to a friend so there is no extra fee charged).  I will not be accepting checks.  All payments must be received by Friday, February 12th.

*Your registration is not complete and your spot not confirmed until I have received the non-refundable payment (if you are paying with cash rather than PayPal, I will hold your spot until park day on 2/5 so you can bring the cash to me there).  Because this is an educational field trip priority registration will also be given to those families who sign their eligible children up for a class, which means those who don't sign up for a class have the potential to get bumped even if they have paid (while there is still room in the classes).  Being bumped is the only case where you will receive your payment back.

As always, you are welcome to contact me if you need help figuring out what to pay or have other questions.  Some of your questions may be answered below though, so please read that section first if you have questions.

Blessings,

Susan Johnson

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

You are welcome to bring additional school age children with you as their chaperone (CFS VC or non-CFS VC member students).  The number of adult passes will initially be limited to one per family registration.  There may be room for additional member adults, so you are welcome to let me know in your RSVP if you are interested in an additional adult ticket.  If there is room, I will let you know the week after the RSVP deadline so you can pay for the additional adult ticket at that time.

Parking for those bringing 1 or 2 children:

There will be additional parking passes available, but not enough for everyone.  I'm thinking each of us who are bringing only 1 or 2 children could pitch in $5 and I could then distribute the extra free parking passes to some and $15 to others so everyone in this category would not have to pay more than $5 for parking.  I will distribute the parking passes and the $15 cash at park day in March so you can enter the parking lot at Legoland without paying the full $15 on your own.  (Carpooling is an option as well.)

If you miss the registration deadline or if the field trip is full before you register, you are still welcome to email me and I will put you on a waiting list in case someone ends up not being able to use their tickets.

***Legoland does offer a homeschool field trip day where families can bring as many adults as they want.  If you would like to participate in that option rather than joining with this educational field trip, geared toward students instead of families, please see the Legoland website homeschool option for details.
