Q:

When do you meet?

A:

We meet on Fridays from 9:15 a.m. - 12:00 noon on the campus of High Point Baptist Church 220 West Farthing Road, 611, Mayfield, KY.  We meet for ten weeks during the fall semester and ten weeks during the spring semester.

When are new members accepted?

A:

New members are accepted at beginning of the fall semesters .

Q:

What are the membership and class fees and when are they due?

A:

Returning Family Fee: $20 Fall/Spring Semester

New Family Fee: $30 Fall semester, $20 Spring Semester

Families who plan on returning can pay their dues at the end of the Fall/Spring Semester for the next semester.  New family need to pay their dues after membership request approval to ensure a spot in the up and coming semester.  All families need to have membership fees paid before they can register for  semester classes. 

Q:

Who is eligible to participate in the co-op?

A:

Families whose oldest child will be at least 5 years old and beginning kindergarten at the start of the fall semester are eligible for co-op participation.

Q:

May I drop off my child and come back to get them at the end of co-op?

A:

No. All parents are required to stay and participate in co-op classes.  

Q:

What do the parents do during co-op?

A:

All parents are given an assignment for each class period at co-op.  Job assignments may include teaching or assisting in a class, helping in the nursery, monitoring the hallway, etc.  

Q:

What is the registration process for classes at co-op?

A:

Student registration is accepted according to the following guidelines:

  • Current co-op participants may register as soon as class schedules and fees for the upcoming semester are published. 

  • Order of registration for classes will follow these guidelines:

  1. Parents who teach a co-op class or serve on the Advisory Team for that semester will be able to register first.

  2. Families who are current co-op participants will be able to register second.

  3. New families interested in joining the co-op will be able to register third as long as space permits.

Q:

How many classes can my child register for at co-op?

A:

We have three teaching class periods each week at co-op.  The first period class meets from 9:30-10:15 a.m.   The second period class meets from 10:20 - 11:05 a.m.   The third period class meets from 11:10 - 11:55 a.m.  

Q:

What happens if there is inclement weather on a co-op day?

A:

GCHE Co-Op will not meet if Graves County Schools have been cancelled or delayed.
