Entrepreneurially Speaking!
Join us for Educationally Speaking, a series of opportunities designed to give homeschoolers of any age an occasion to develop their public speaking skills. Participants can dress up in character, bring props, and perform a speech in the first person. However, our parameters on presentation are very flexible. Themes vary, but have included: Historically Speaking, Artistically Speaking, Scientifically Speaking, Mythologically Speaking, Notoriously Speaking and Athletically Speaking. Participants research their person/event of choice and then present in front of a warm and welcoming audience at the Pinecrest Branch Library. We also have a Science Fair included in the Educationally Speaking events. Our Science Fair gives each child the opportunity to present their science fair project to everyone in attendance. They may present in any format they want and are not asked to follow the conventional science fair format. We welcome everyone to come and support these children's efforts even if you are not attending.
