Welcome to Heritage Homeschoolers!

We are an inclusive support group for black homeschool families in Cobb County, Georgia. We strive to create a sense of community, belonging, and relationship for black homeschooled children, their parents/caretakers, and other homeschool families who share this vision.

Our group meets regularly for enrichment activities, service projects, field trips, park days, indoor activities, play dates, family events, educational “road trips,” and Mom's Nights Out. The group is member-led, so activities are determined based on the needs and desires of the group with each family having opportunities to plan events.

We primarily serve homeschool families with children in K through 12th grade, but younger siblings are often in tow so we welcome families with older preschoolers who intend to homeschool as well. Some events do have a minimum age requirement to ensure that our families with older students are well-supported.

While the Marietta-area of Cobb County is our home base for meetings and most events, we do have activities throughout the county and explore all of Greater Atlanta and beyond on our field trips. Cobb County residency is not a requirement for membership.

PLEASE NOTE: Upon joining, you will receive a password allowing you to view the members-only calendar with all of the exciting events we've planned for this school year (along with the group directory, email forum, classifieds, and FAQs).

Steps to Membership

  1. Complete our online membership form by following the 'Request Membership' link below the login box at the bottom of the page.
  2. Pay 2017-2018* Annual Membership Dues of $45** per family via credit card or Paypal.
  3. Be referred by a current member OR meet with a member of our leadership team OR attend one Mom's Night Out meeting.

* For families joining in August 2017, the remainder of the summer is included free with your paid 2017-2018 membership, so you will receive extra months at no cost.

** Cash Back Incentive: All members have the option of receiving a $15 partial refund of their membership dues after successfully planning and implementing at least 2 events/activities for the group. The incentive program is optional, so each family can decide whether to pay $45 or $30 ($45 up front with a $15 refund) for the year.
