The basis of South Bay Faith Academy, Inc. is the Word of God. In the light of God’s Word, we, in our education program, stand committed to the following:

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation on His will for the salvation of men, and divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21, Deuteronomy 4:2) |

We believe Genesis 1–11 is a factual presentation of actual events and is the reliable account of the origin and history of life, mankind, the earth, and the universe. |

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Exodus 20:2-3, Matthew 28:19) |

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He now is our High Priest and Advocate who will one day return, with power and great glory, to judge the living and the dead. (Matthew 1:21-22, Matthew 24:30-31, Hebrews 1:3, Revelation 20:11- 15) |

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (Romans 8:14-27) |

We believe the creation of Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman) and their subsequent fall into sin is the basis for the necessity of salvation for mankind (Genesis 2:7, 2:17, 2:22–23, 3:6–20; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:45–49). |

We believe all mankind are sinners, inherently from Adam and individually (by choice), and are therefore subject to God’s wrath and condemnation (1 Kings 8:46; Isaiah 53:6; Psalm 116:11; Proverbs 16:5; John 3:16–18, 3:36, 12:48; Romans 1:18, 3:23). |

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (Romans 3:24, Romans 8:16, Ephesians 1:7, John 1:12) |

We believe that the true church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. We believe that regular attendance in church worship, fellowship, and service is essential to the life and witness of the believer. (I Corinthians 12:13, Hebrews 10:25) |

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment. (John 5:28, I Corinthians 15:52-53, Revelation 20:12-15) |

We believe mankind, consisting of two genders (male and female), is created in the image of God. Each of these two distinct, complementary genders reflects the image of God. We believe the only legitimate marriage, based on the creation ordinance in Genesis 1 and 2, sanctioned by God is the joining of one naturally born man and one naturally born woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 1:26–28, 2:24, 5:2, 9:6; Matthew 5:27-30, 19:4–6; Mark 10:2-9; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 11:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Hebrews 13:4; James 3:9–10). |

We believe all human life is sacred and begins at conception (defined as the moment of fertilization). Each unborn child is a unique living human being, a person, created in the image of God, and must be respected and protected both before and after birth. (Genesis 9:6; Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17; Psalm 51:5; 1 Corinthians 15:49; James 2:11). |

We believe all humans are made in the image of God, all humans have equal dignity and value regardless of age (including the unborn), intelligence, gender, physical ability, shade of skin tone, religion, ethnicity, or any other characteristic (Genesis 1:26–27, 3:20, 11:9; Acts 17:26–28). |

We believe parents are responsible to instruct their children in Christian faith and conduct, to set before them godly and consistent examples of the same, and in every way to “bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:6–9; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4). |
We the undersigned, understand that the Christian faith is the basis of this organization and South Bay Faith Academy, Inc. ministers to people who regularly attend their church. Any failure to abide by South Bay Faith Academy’s Statement of Faith will result in disenrollment.
