Co-op Volunteers

Our co-op relies on our members to wholeheartedly share their time, talent and patience with their fellow members, recognizing that it is God who gives us every good and perfect gift, and our purpose in life is to glorify Him. All Members serve as Teachers and/or Aides during the co-op day. Other members also serve in "Coordinator" capacities to help our co-op run smoothly and provide additional fellowship opportunities.

Building Liaison

The Building Liaison will be the primary contact person for the facility staff members at which the co-op meets. Reports to the Board Chair and Director on behalf of the church. The Building Liaison makes no decisions or speaks on behalf of the co-op without authorization from the Board. Works with the Supply Coordinator to manage inventory of cleaning supplies.


End of Semester Showcase Coordinator

Organizes the end of semester programs – one each semester. The coordinator works with key performance class teachers (drama, musical theater, etc.) to determine the order of the program, who will MC the program, and special requested items (microphones, music media type, etc.) which will need to be conveyed to the sound engineer. Determines a list of other classes who wish to present visual displays. Posts information to members with details of the Showcase and asks for volunteers to help with set-up and tear-down/clean-up duties. Printed programs are not a requirement of the coordinator, but are always appreciated.


Field Trip Coordinator

Plans and organizes all field trips for FCHC Co-op. This person is the primary contact point with all outside organizations and for all co-op people. Field trips will be approved by the Chair of the Board or the Director.  Negotiates prices with the outside organizations and communicates information to the co-op members. Responsible for collecting all of the funds necessary for each field trip. 


Volunteer/Aide Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator takes information supplied from our members about their gifts and talents, and makes up the volunteer assignments for the 3 class hours during co-op. Assistant will help members in weekly class coverage as needs arise due to unexpected absences, while communicating with the director.


Hospitality Coordinator

Hospitality Coordinator oversees the set up of the Chew and Chat area of the Co-Op for the parents. Makes sure that the supplies do not run low and is responsible for purchasing any supplies needed after verifying budget with the treasurer. Coordinates a schedule for members to sign up for bringing in snacks. Help care for our members. Ex: someone is sick, having a baby, etc.


Nursery Coordinator

The Nursery Coordinator is responsible for cleaning the toys each day co-op meets and ensuring supplies are purchased and available for the Nursery workers. Organizes resources for the Nursery teachers and also guides them in hourly planning. 


Opening Assembly Coordinator

The Opening Assembly Coordinator coordinates a schedule for members to sign up for praise/worship song and devotion during our weekly morning assembly.  All announcements are fielded by the Assembly coordinator to assure a timely dismissal.


Prayer Room Coordinator

Prayer room is available throughout the day. The coordinator will maintain prayer requests in a confidential manner and work with other prayer room volunteers to make it an encouraging and uplifting time as we stand in the gap with each other.


Preschool Coordinator

Preschool Coordinator organizes resources for the preschool teachers and also guides them in lesson planning.  This person also maintains the preschool cabinet which has snacks, toys, lesson plans and various supplies specifically for the preschoolers. The lesson plans include:  memory verses, songs and poems.  If there is an unexpected teacher absence, lessons plans are available for each hour.  


Registrar

The Registrar will oversee online class registration and work with families throughout both semesters should changes become necessary, advising them of class openings, fees and other pertinent registration information.


Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for organizing fire drills, assisting with organization of student emergency medical information, and keeping an inventory of First Aid supplies.


Supply Coordinator

The Supply Coordinator is responsible for maintaining supplies and materials used in co-op classes.  Makes sure supplies do not run low. Has the authority to authorize or deny supply and material purchases made by teachers. Signs off on reimbursement requests from teachers before forwarding them to the treasurer. Works with the Building Liaison to manage inventory of cleaning supplies.


Talent Night Coordinator

The Talent Night Coordinator plans an evening for individual students to share their gifts by performing and displaying artistic and academic talents. Determines the order of the program, who will MC the program, and special requested items (microphones, music media type, etc.) which will need to be conveyed to the sound engineer. Posts information to members with details of the talent night and requests submissions of performance information to be approved by a board designated committee prior to the performances. Printed programs are not a requirement of the coordinator, but are always appreciated.


Treasurer

The Co-op Treasurer (who is a member of the Co-op Board) is responsible for managing the day to day financial transactions of the co-op, including preparing member invoices, tracking class budgets, reimbursing members for expenses, paying co-op bills, etc. 


Volunteer/Aide Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator takes information supplied from our members about their gifts and talents, and makes up the volunteer/cleaning assignments for the 3 class hours during co-op.


Website Coordinator

Maintains and updates the website with current information provided by the Co-op Board.
