Homeschooled Kids and Co.

About Us

Homeschooled Kids & Co. is a local support group for families predominately from Escambia counties Alabama and Florida. Our group was formed in the 1990's when local Christian families who were homeschooling decided to come together for support and fellowship.  In 2000 the group was officially named Homeschooled Kids & Co.

HOMESCHOOLED KIDS & CO. IS STRICTLY A SUPPORT GROUP. WE ARE NOT AN “OVERSIGHT” BODY. MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO KNOW THE LAWS OF THEIR STATE PERTAINING TO HOME EDUCATION AND TO COMPLY WITH THOSE LAWS. Homeschooled Kids and Company is not a cover school. We do not take care of things such as, letters to the Board of Education about your intent to homeschool, attendance records or grades. Your children's curriculum is your responsibility. HK&C is strictly for support, like-minded parents supporting each other in our homeschooling journey, children coming together to participate in HK&C events, a place for fun, friends and fellowship. When you come to an HK&C event you, the parent, must remain there at all times, unless you have made arrangements with another HK&C parent to watch over your child and leadership has been notified.

Families pay a yearly membership fee which entitles their children to participate in HK&C activities. HK&C offers a variety of events, Annual Parties: Back to School party, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Christmas Brunch, Valentine’s Party with Talent Showcase and End of the Year Ceremony. Monthly classes: Book club, Bible, Art, PE, Life Skills, 4H, IEW Poetry, IEW Public Speaking. One Day Group Events: Day in History, Day in Literature, Vocab Day, Science Fair, Business Fair, Art Showcase, Pottery and High School Formal. Yearbook and Newsletter Staff, Community Service Projects, Mom’s Night Outs. Remember, members are free to choose any activities in which they would like to participate.

HK&C is a volunteer organization coordinated by a voluntary leadership team.
