If you are interested in joining Mankato Homeschool Connection and would like to register for classes, you must first REQUEST MEMBERSHIP. To do so, please fill out and submit the form below. The application will be submitted to our board for review. The board will then contact you to set up a time for a brief informal introductory interview.

Registration for new members will be open from June 1st -15th. After you submit your membership application, we will contact you to set up a short, informal meeting to let you know what to expect and allow you to tell us why you'd love to be part of MHC. You are welcome to bring your kids to play while we briefly chat. It generally takes around 20 minutes.

Subject to Board approval and class space limitations, you will receive a membership approval email confirmation which will prompt you to set up a login/password on our secure website. Membership fees are due by Aug.19. There are 3 options to choose from to pay fees,

1. Pay fee of $225 in full by Aug. 19 (no fundraising)

2. Pay fee of $150 by Aug. 19 and participate in 2 service fundraisers (or pay additional $75 by March 13

3. Fundraise using Raise Right and earn $75 per session or pay a $75 fee for each session due date (Aug.19, Jan.16 & March 13) if unable to raise funds

You may send your registration fee (made payable to Mankato Homeschool Connection) to PO Box 4212 Mankato, MN 56002 or pay using the Venmo app. If registration is full, you will be given the option of being placed on a waiting list.

Option 1: By accepting option 1 you acknowledge that you are responsible for paying the $225 fee by August 14

Option 2: By accepting option 2 you acknowledge that you are responsible for paying the $150 fee by August 14 AND helping with two service fundraisers (Pizza Ranch, Read-A-Thon). If you end up not being able to help with any fundraisers during the year, you will need to pay the remaining $75 by April 18, 2024.

Option 3: By accepting option 3 you acknowledge that you are responsible for using RaiseRight to raise funds (at least $75 per session for a total of $225) by the expected dates (8/14/23, 1/10/24 & 4/18/24) and if you are not able to raise those funds you will need to pay the $75 fee by each date listed above.

We will be assigning teaching positions for the first session so would like to put you in your preferred areas as much as possible. If you have no preferences, please let us know that as well. 8. 9. I agree to abide by the rules and expectations as presently listed or as may subsequently be amended. I understand that if anyone in my family violates the rules, it may jeopardize our participation in Mankato Homeschool Connection and that Mankato Homeschool Connection reserves the right to deny participation to any student or family.

I (We) hereby agree to be responsible for the conduct and actions of my child(ren). I understand that accidents and injuries may occur involving my child(ren) or myself, and I agree to release and hold harmless Mankato Homeschool Connection, its board and leadership team members, volunteers, and fellow parents and students from any liability, claims, or demands for any accidents or injuries which may occur during participation in the co-op or any extra event/field trip held by the group. Furthermore, any medical expenses for my child(ren) or myself incurred due to these incidents would be my responsibility, and I agree not to seek out payment or compensation from Mankato Homeschool Connection. I also agree to release and hold harmless Sunrise Church, its volunteers, and employees from any liability, claims, or demands for any accident or injury occurring while participating in co-op activities on their property.

I understand that, while every effort will be made to avoid any food allergens I have listed in my membership application for my child(ren), accidental exposure may occur because Mankato Homeschool Connection cannot guarantee an allergy free zone in any of our meeting locations. I agree to release and hold harmless the group, its board and leadership team members, volunteers, and fellow parents and students from any liability, claims, or demands for any injury due to accidental allergen exposure.

I understand that if at any time I feel that a situation or activity at Mankato Homeschool Connection or any extra function is unsafe for my child(ren) for any reason (including, but not limited to, health concerns, physical limitations, emotional limitations, or a general concern for safety) it is my responsibility to remove my child(ren) from that situation.

I understand that, while every effort will be made to lessen the risk of spread of communicable diseases/illnesses, Mankato Homeschool Connection, Sunrise Church, the board and leadership team, volunteers, and fellow parents cannot be held liable for any illnesses that arise due to exposure at regular co-op times or extra activities.

By signing this agreement and submitting my non-refundable registration fee, I establish my family’s registration in Mankato Homeschool Connection during the 2024-2025 school year.
