STUDY SKILLS WORKSHOP:
This will be a hands-on workshop, appropriate for junior high and high school students. We will explore the following:
- Learning Styles -- how to discover yours and how to put that information to use
- Note taking -- both in the classroom and while reading, and what to do with those notes now that you have them
- Tips and tricks for memorizing facts
- Preparing for tests, and then taking them
- Setting up an effective study environment
- How to slay the procrastination monster
- Using a planner or calendar to manage your time
- Organizing your book bag
