The Mission of the Conroe Area Christian Home Educators (CACHE) is to support Christian homeschooling families in activities that are beneficial to the spiritual, physical and educational development of the entire family.
The Goals of CACHE are:
1. To glorify Jesus Christ in all our activities.
2. To provide support and encourage one another in our efforts to educate our children at home.
3. To offer educational and social opportunities for our member families.
4. To offer assistance to families interested in the benefits of homeschooling through our website. 6. CACHE Statement of Faith: This support group is Christ centered; therefore, we strive to do all things in a manner that honors Biblical principles and brings glory to God and His Name. We believe: In the deity of Jesus Christ - that He is, was, and shall forever be God the Son (John 1:1, 14). That His life was perfectly sinless, and that His sacrifice on the cross is complete for the atonement of sin (1 Peter 2:21-22, 24 and John 19:30). That man possesses a bent for sin and must personally accept the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ as payment for the penalty of those sins (Romans 3:23, 6:23, Acts 16:31 and John 1:12). With respect to the Bible, every word as originally written is the inspired Word of God (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Tim 3:16) We hold the conviction and belief that marriage is ordained by God and is solely between one man and one woman. God has given parents (father and mother) stewardship over their children and NOT the state. We hold that parents have the right and authority to educate their own child. CACHE Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen. 1:26-27) Rejection of one’s biological sex at birth is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as set forth in Scripture. (Gen. 2:18-25) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor. 6:18, 7:2-5, Heb. 13:4) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of C.A.C.H.E as a biblically based Christian organization, it is imperative that all C.A.C.H.E members agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matt. 5:16, Phil. 2:14-16, 1 Thes. 5:22). We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Rom. 3:23, Acts 3:19-21, Rom 10:9-10, 1 Cor 6:9-11 and 1 John 1:9). We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31, Luke 6:31) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the policies of C.A.C.H.E. Policies for CACHE Event, Dress and Code of Conduct: We are representatives of Jesus Christ in all that we do, we ask that ALL members, including both parent (s) and student (s) abide by the following guidelines for all CACHE events. As a Christian organization, our members are to conduct themselves in ways that honor Christ, bring glory to God, and share His love with others. All Planned CACHE events shall follow the requirements set forth in this policy document. Events are scheduled for CACHE members only (event waiver must be signed and turned in for the current event year). Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children during ALL C.A.C.H.E. events/functions. Children (or parents) who behave in a manner outside of these guidelines and damages the reputation of the group could lose the privilege of attending future CACHE event/functions. a. Please keep children from running in buildings and climbing structures that are not playground equipment. b. Please encourage children to be respectful to all leaders and tour guides etc. c. Good housekeeping, please pick up after yourself. Please leave the area the same as (or better) than it was found. CACHE shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by any member students, siblings, guest or parents. Restitution is the responsibility of the person(s)/family who caused the damage. This applies to all official CACHE event venues i.e, churches, member homes, field trip locations, libraries etc. Alcoholic, tobacco products (cigarettes, vaping, chewing tobacco) are not allowed at any C.A.C.H.E event/function. Profanity shall not be used. No suggestive or offensive language, innuendoes, jokes, or actions Clothing (including caps) shall not be worn at CACHE events that advertises alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, violence, sex, new age, profanity, occult, or gangs. Dress modestly. Short-shorts, halter-tops, crop tops, cleavage, etc. are not allowed. Tattoos with offensive language, pictures, innuendoes, violence, sex, profanity, occult, etc. should not show at any time at any CACHE event. We are representatives of Jesus Christ in all that we do, we ask that ALL members, including both parent(s) and student(s) abide by the following guidellines for all CACHE events. CACHE Membership Requirements: Family is currently home schooling at least one child. (or is an Alumni) Family is in full agreement with the CACHE Statement of Faith and the CACHE Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. Family agrees to abide by all policies governing CACHE. Family commits to serve at a minimum of one CACHE event or activity per school year. Payment of annual membership dues and annual waiver form is current. Please select at least one (choose all that apply) that you would be interested in assisting or leading this year. CACHE Membership Expectations: All CACHE members are asked to serve CACHE in some capacity during each school year. Many hands make light work." - John Heywood. Opportunities for service will be made available to members throughout the year. Members who consistantly disregard CACHE policy will be asked to leave Conroe Area Christian Home Educators. We understand and will abide by CACHE's Membership Requirements and Expectations. Yes 11.
