2025-2026 CHESS Science Fair Registration Form

The CHESS Science Fair will be held March 19th from 5:30 - 8 pm at South Church (5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing). Participants may arrive as early as 5 pm to set up, but must be ready by 5:30 which is when judging begins.

Please register and fill out information for each student.

Students may choose to do a project that is EXPERIMENTAL (uses the scientific method where a hypothesis is formed and tested) or NON-EXPERIMENTAL (descriptive, informative display or hands-on activity). Experimental is required for all high school students and for any middle school student who wants to compete for a medal.

Students can collaborate with family members or other students. If your student is doing a joint project, please include all partner name(s) in that student's registration information. All partners will need to register separately and include your student's name on their registration.

A new rubric for feedback from the judges is in process. The file will be emailed with your confirmation.

If you have any questions, please email Amy Finkenbinder at jrapha2000@hotmail.com or text at 989-560-6709. Looking forward to another great science fair!
