As a long-time Thrive parent, Dawn is thrilled to bring music education to homeschooling families in our community. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, she taught music for 13 years in K–8 private and public schools.

Dawn holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, a California teaching credential in music, and certification in Orff-Schulwerk, a specialized approach to elementary music education. Her primary instrument is voice, with a strong background in choral singing. She also plays piano and strums a few guitar chords to accompany the little ones in their musical adventures.

Dawn's main calling in life is being a wife and mother. She and her husband, who works as a systems engineer for a medical startup, feel blessed to homeschool their four children—Alice (11), Lucy (8), Zoe (6), and Caleb (born September 2024)—and have been on this homeschooling journey for the past six years. Passionate about lifelong learning, Dawn actively coaches and encourages other moms who are beginning their own homeschooling adventures.
