Are you ready to join?

We are so excited that you have chosen to join us in this exciting endeavor. While the children enjoy enrichment activities and parents fill various roles, we will all build connections together. We meet every Monday for socialization and learning that will supplement your family’s homeschooling journey. We also offer free-play time for the youngest. With participation of parents, there is something for everyone from 6 weeks through teens!

Applications are open year round, but will be reviewed by the Board twice a year: Before Fall semester and before Spring semester. Due to limited physical space unfortunately not all families can be accepted for participation. Families who are accepted will be contacted by a Board member to complete their payment prior to the start of each semester.

Requirements for participation in the co-op include agreeing to:

Please make sure you have read and understood our Handbook and the policies and procedures therein before proceeding with your application.
Requirements for participation in Connections of Acadiana include agreeing to:

  • Treat every child and parent with respect and kindness.
  • Paying the registration fee. Upon acceptance you will be sent a link to pay your registration fee of $160 family/semester. There will be no refunds, except by Board discretion, as we operate on a lean budget and many of our budgeted amounts (Insurance, supplies, etc) are determined by the number of individuals participating.
  • Agree to a background check; all household members ages 18+ must clear a background check. Your information is kept private and secure, but checks must be run through our program. Background checks by other organizations cannot be accepted.
  • Be an active member and participant in building connections and community among our families.
  • Stay on-campus for the duration of our weekly meetings. A parent or legal guardian must attend with their students.  Teach a class or help in a class for 2 periods each week. Each parent is guaranteed one "off" hour to enjoy the company of other parents in the hospitality area.
  • Attend regularly. Our semester is 15 weeks long and each family is allowed up to 2 absences. We depend on attendance of each family to run in the spirit of "cooperation!"
