ABOUT

HOPE Co-op offers classes for Kindergarten – 8th grade (with nursery and preschool opportunities for the younger siblings of our enrolled students). We meet weekly on Thursdays. HOPE Fall Semester typically starts after Labor Day and finishes before Thanksgiving. HOPE Spring Semester typically starts at the end of January and finishes in April.

Since HOPE Co-op is a cooperative effort, each family must earn two “credits” in order to participate, and a parent from each family must be present all day (9:00 – noon) assisting in other classes. Co-op credits can be earned in various ways depending on the needs of the Co-op. For first year families, the usual area of service is on the setup and/or breakdown teams.

We offer three class hours each co-op day, 9:00 am – noon. We offer a variety of classes and exciting enrichment opportunities. (See Class Details for more information).

Families must register for the full co-op day. Children may not be left at HOPE Co-op without their parent on site.  All Kinder students must be 5 by September 1st of the Fall semester.

Class registration takes place in April or May for the Fall semester and in November or December for Spring semester.

With very few exceptions, all classes are taught by member parents or grandparents. We are a group of volunteers, and everyone pitches in to create a fantastic educational experience!

All prospective members must attend a prospective member meeting. Please fill out the Hope Co-op Interest Form to be added to our email list for meetings. During the meeting, you will be able to tour our facilities (either in person or virtually), learn more about our upcoming classes and ask any questions you may have.

There is a subsequent application and approval process before admittance. Please list all of your areas of expertise/skill/interest on your application.  Even if you are not an expert in a field, you may be able to teach a beginner’s class, or assist in a class where you have some knowledge.

Thank you for your interest in HOPE co-op!
