STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the Bible is the only inspired, authoritative, infallible and inerrant word of God. Its very words are God-breathed. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. We believe there is one true God, manifested in three distinct Persons known as the Trinity: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, John 10:30)

3. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)

4. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and was fully God and fully man. (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35, John 1:1, John 1:14)

5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a complete sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 7:25)

6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven as our High Priest and Advocate, and His personal return in power and glory. (John 14:2-3, I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 7:25, Revelation 19:11-16)

7. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those who are saved to eternal life and those who are lost to eternal damnation. (John 5:28-29)

8. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who gives us spiritual gifts for the purpose of equipping us for the building up of the body of Christ. (John 14:26, I Cor. 12)

9. We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God. (Genesis 1:27, 1 Cor. 7:2, Romans 1:26-28)

10. We will teach our classes from the perspective of a young earth.

H.O.P.E. Non-Denominational Statement

Our doctrinal statement of faith is fundamental to basic Christian tenets and contains those doctrines to which we unreservedly adhere. However, the following areas are left primarily to the teaching of the home and church:

1. Church government, authority and discipline
2. Time and mode of baptism
3. Security of the believer
4. Gift of the Spirit, tongues, interpretation of tongues, healing, miracle working and discerning of spirits
5. Timing of future events
6. Second work of grace or baptism of the Holy Spirit
7. Sinless perfection

There will be no attempt made by parents or students to promote these denominational positions. We desire to remain united in the salvation and love of Christ, avoiding dissension, which may be caused by denominational differences.
