Have you ever gotten frustrated with information you hear about what is happening in government, but you are unsure about what you could do to make any kind of difference? I think we’ve all been there. Well, we DO have the power to influence and cause change. Most elected officials want to get re-elected and so they listen to what their constituents care about – but we must let them know. If they don’t hear our voices, then they will be swayed by the ones they do hear.
HAHA is launching Project Activate! Its purposes are:
1) inform members about relevant legislation that is being considered at the state level. It may have to do specifically with homeschooling or could be more general such as House Bill (HB) 508 which aims to protect parental rights in numerous ways
2) share practical ways that we can influence our state representatives on issues we care about and then to encourage and equip parents to activate the power we have as constituents.
Please join us on January 18th at our “Plugged In” breakfast to learn more and see if it’s something you’d like to become involved in.
