Keystone Kidspace is offering us a “come & play” day. They are a multi-story space with activity areas designed to engage children of all ages - but focusing on students from 6 to 16.

Kidspace is organized into four main areas. The Mess Hall is geared towards all things messy! Here they encourage children to create with and explore materials they may not have access to at home. Students can build their own masterpieces, working with paints, as well as scrap and real materials. …or to do something messy that mom doesn’t want done in the house! This space also provides children with opportunities to move their bodies with a few gross motor activities such as the modular pump track or the dizzy-making merry-go-round.

The Wonder Bar is an area where they have blocks, board games, typically more fine motor quieter activities. It’s where you may find logic puzzles, writing challenges and other daily activities. This provides a space for children to focus on an activity or to decompress a bit after some louder more gross motor activities.

Their Kitchen Lab is a full-size commercial kitchen with all the bells and whistles! Here they do their cooking projects as well as some of their science projects.

Finally, they have their Curiosity Hall, which houses, among other things, their Digital Lab. That is where most of their technology activities live. Things such as 3-D printers, a Glow forge, circuits, magnets. Here you will find new and old tech for your student to tinker with and explore, from coding and circuits to music and fiber arts such as sewing and knitting.

For an extra fee, students can participate in their FIRE TILE activity where the students decorate their own tile and then have it set on fire! This one’s WOW factor is sure make it a hit!

There is also an area indoors where we can eat. Since we will be there over lunch, feel free to brown bag it or you may order food and have it delivered. There are snacks and drinks available for sale but not a complete lunch.
