Are you familiar with kokedama? Kokedama (Japanese for "moss ball") is a Japanese style of potting up plants in a ball of moss and displaying them in a dish or suspended in the air! Essentially, it’s made of wet soil and peat, which form a ball. The plant is set into the ball and then wrapped with moss. Aluminum or nylon wire or rope fixes the bundle together. Kokedama are watered by soaking them in a tub of water for 10-20 minutes, at least once per week. (see the attached pictures) This makes an amazing and beautiful Christmas gift.

From the gardener who taught our high school students about winter sowing last January, she has, once again, come up with a unique, lesson for our children.

Note: Due to the fact that the instructor must purchase supplies before the lesson, NO refunds are possible. If you are sick the day of the event, please do not attend; instead, the instructor will meet with you for a private lesson when you are well again.

*If payment is not made within 2 days of registration, the website will automatically cancel your sign up.
