Let’s Ruminate About Ruminants!
Do you know what a ruminant is?! Come take a walk around the farm with us to learn all
about cows and sheep. We will discover how they process their food, make crafts out of
sheep’s wool and make our own butter! Registration deadline October 23.
**More information about the program and Caryn Sennett, the program instructor can be found below.

Caryn Sennett is a junior at Dickinson College. She is majoring in Environmental Studies and Spanish and particularly likes to paint in her free time. Caryn also loves to read, hike in the woods and bake bread and she first realized her love for farming and local food three years ago when she stepped onto the Dickinson College Farm! Some of Caryn’s favorite activities at the farm include harvesting tomatoes, collecting eggs and running around with Bella the farm dog. Each day at the farm is a new learning experience. Caryn is really looking forward to setting out on a new adventure with SEED students this fall to learn more about how our food is grown and how to care for the earth.

Sustainable Earth Education (SEED)
An interactive educational program that explores how nourishing food moves from seed to soil to our tables and inspires children to care for the earth! Hosted by Dickinson College Farm.

Parents are welcome to participate, observe, take a self-guided tour of the farm, relax in the shade or take a short drive into beautiful Boiling Springs. At the end of the program, children are invited to show parents what they’ve learned around the farm.
