Refresh Event for Parents
Are you looking for educational activities to keep your child busy while you work with another one? Do you wish you had access to FREE materials to supplement your current curriculum? Do you have a desire to ensure that you and your children are familiar with the most current resources available? Don’t miss February’s Refresh Event.
This Thursday’s Refresh Event for parents is all about technology and its many benefits. Come and learn about specific websites, apps, and on-line learning tools. Our goal is to have a great internet connection so you can bring along your own personal ipad, tablet, phone, laptop, or personal device and you can look up these tools as we discuss them. If our internet is not stable enough to support that, then we will be sure to provide you with time enough to write them all down so you can explore them at home.
Do you feel like you are not tech savvy? Come anyway. We will have some more experienced moms on hand to walk you through some of these resources one on one. No need to stay stuck!
Did you know that there are on-line tools to help proofread your child’s writing? How about on-line magazines that will publish your children’s writing and illustrations for FREE. Did you know that there is an entire homeschool curriculums containing all subjects for K through high school that are totally FREE? Did you know that homeschool parents have the same access that public school teachers have to thousands upon thousands of supplemental worksheets, videos, lesson plans, and more? Check it out this Thursday and be sure to bring along your favorite resources as well.
Don’t forget that beginning January 0f 2014 our meeting location and time changed. We now meet at the Giant Community Room located on the second floor of the Giant Store on the corner of Rt. 15 and Trindle Road in Camp Hill. Our official meeting time is 6 to 8 p.m. Although, you are welcome to join us afterwards in the fireplace café area downstairs and stay as long as you like.
