Homeschooling Using the Private Tutor Option

Are you a homeschooling parent who is certified to teach in Pennsylvania public schools? You may be eligible to homeschool under PA’s Private Tutor provision.

Join me at the HAHA Back-to-School Fair on August 16th from 11am – 12 pm:

•  I will define terms & phrases used within the Private Tutor provision of compulsory attendance portion of The Pennsylvania Code.
•  I will suggest language parents may wish to use in ‘dealing with’ strict school district superintendents.
• I will provide a sample letter of intent to send to your school district when you commence homeschooling under the Private Tutor Option.
•  I will provide links to the Option and related resources.
•  I will provide instructions on how to obtain one’s certification status.
•  I will provide instructions on how to obtain a criminal history report.
•  I will provide Suzanne Tallman’s (a.k.a. the PDE’s) stance on parents homeschooling under the Option

At the conclusion of the Back-to-School Fair I will be happy to send participants a summary of my workshop notes (if you provide me with your e-mail address in the sign up below)?

There is no cost to attend this event other than the admission fee of $1 per person or $5 per family for the Back to School Fair.
