Trout Gallery - The Science of Color - Gr. 4 - 8
4-8th
The Science of Color:
How do our eyes see color? And how are the colors of light different than the colors that come from a can of paint? Explore these and other questions about how color works through an examination of Impressionist paintings on view at The Trout Gallery. Each program culminates in scientific and art experiments using pigment, light and optics.
This program will take place at the Trout Gallery located in the Weiss Center on the campus of Dickison College. Parking is off-street and is sometimes full so you will want to allow extra time in case you have to walk a little bit.
Please register only children ages 4th - 8th grade. Parents are requested to stay and assist but should not register themselves. As this is an art gallery, it is not the easiest place to keep younger children entertained. Please plan accordingly. As space is limited it is important that you contact our group coordinator if you need to cancel.
Cut-off date is June 28th with a maximum number of 25 attendees.
Contact person: Jamey McClintock at hahaofpa@live.com or 712-5352.
Cost: this is a FREE program
