Workshop - Transitioning to Homeschooling
Tuesday, September 27th
DESCRIPTION
Homeschooling brings big changes to your household. In my 90-minute workshop, I’ll take you on the fast track through the “decompression period” that new families frequently go through.
We’ll explore the murky waters of what you are “ALLOWED"to do, talk about some areas where you might be misinformed, and explain several key spots where you might be missing out because you are attempting to duplicate the classroom experience of your local school.
Many families simply are not aware that they can make changes that will result in a drastically different experience with home education.
Together we’ll navigate some of the potential pitfalls so you can dig into learning in the most effective way – which is by doing what works for you.
Location: The McClintock Home, 11 Belair Drive, Dillsburg, PA 17019
Cost is $15.
Presenter Bio: Jamey McClintock is a wife and homeschooling mom of seven children, two of whom are now adults. With 17 years of her own personal homeschooling experience as well as eight years as the President of the Harrisburg Area Homeschoolers Association, Jamey has seen a lot of different perspectives in the world of home education. Her down to earth teaching style and desire to see each family function in the way that works best for them, makes these workshop experiences a pleasant, information packed, event that will leave you feeling inspired, equipped, and encouraged. Jamey is also available for individual consultations for those that want to go deeper into the information that is shared.
Pre-registration is required and can be done by clicking here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/transitioning-to-home-education-tickets-27687417812
