Add to Your Calendar: 12/06/2016 09:00 12/06/2016 15:00 America/New_York New Horizons Open House

New Horizons Homeschool Group will be hosting an Open House for parents interested in learning about homeschooling through a co-op on Tuesday, December 06 at Celebration Community Church, 1048 S. Mountain Road, Dillsburg. The uniqueness of this group is that it provides classes for a broad range of students from Pre-K to 12th grade.

With a welcoming family atmosphere, NHHG seeks to serve families through more than the classes they offer. Moms also find the opportunity to connect with other homeschooling moms and lend support to each other. On what the group offers, NHHG Director Cindy Petrides said, “As parents, we are committed to lending our time, talents, and passions in service to each other. Teachers genuinely care about the success of each student and parents support each other through friendship, prayer, and encouragement. We also have a great group of kids! Homeschooling can be intimidating, especially when you are new to it. We want to help every family to succeed.”

The Open House will run from 9:00-3:00. Guests are welcome to sit in on classes and will also be able to hear more about the co-op. Guests can stay for the day or attend only a portion of the day.

For those that are new to or just considering homeschooling, Jamey McClintock, President of the Harrisburg Area Homeschoolers Association, will also be there to offer tips on getting started in homeschooling in a workshop from 10 to 11 a.m.

WHAT WE OFFER: Classes for Pre-K – 12th grade in a Christian atmosphere along with supportive and welcoming families. The cost for the second semester is $100 per family with a non-refundable $20 registration fee.
