Holiday ShareACard Service Project

Add to Your Calendar: 11/29/2017 10:00 11/29/2017 12:00 America/New_York Holiday ShareACard Service Project

Join us for a fun Christmas get-together and service project perfect for all ages! Here is some info on ShareACard and their purpose -

The mission of the Holiday Card Project is to gather Christmas greeting cards and distribute them to seriously ill people who have been featured on ShareaCard and are in active status (we have had an update within the last 6 months). It is well known that the holiday season is extremely depressing to the shut-in and the very ill. They watch all around them as everyone shops and bakes and enjoy themselves, all the while many cannot even leave their homes and are ill from all their medical treatments. YOU can help make a difference in their holiday season! Just imagine the delight when a Feature receives a large box filled with greeting cards from all the United States and Canada, wishing them well and sending along caring thoughts. EVERY card received will make an impact this holiday!

We will meet at the East Shore Area Library, which is right behind the Colonial Park Mall off Ethel Street. The room is on the bottom level of the library and easy to find.

What to bring?

1) Stuff for card making/decorating! They accept homemade cards, construction paper cards, store bought cards, etc. You can write a little something nice inside, just first name and where you are from. They love to get cards from kids, complete with their first name and age. So bring markers, some kind of paper, store bought cards, stickers, etc. All the cards will be sent in one big box afterwards to their hub in Elizabethtown where they distribute to people through shipping a giant box to each one.

2) Snack to share if you are so inclined. Lets make this festive :)

No registration required or HAHA membership required, although RSVP is appreciated to Tiffany Kuhn - thekuhnfamily2@gmail.com
