About Us

What is MMCHE? We're glad you asked…Mid Missouri Co-op of Home Educators (CHE for short) is a Columbia, Missouri based homeschool group that has been in existence long enough for previously homeschooled kids to be back as parents homeschooling their own children! 

Each year, we host a variety of fun activities for kids (and parents) of all ages. Our year typically kicks off with our Homeschool Expo and Ice Cream Social. Events such as our Fall Festival, Valentine's Party, Winter Carnival and Summer Kickoff give all of our families a chance to get to spend time getting to know one another while having lots of fun. 

We have social groups for all ages, from preschoolers to teens and everyone in between. Our K-4 group is for Kindergarten through 4th grade, Middle School group is for our 5th through 8th graders, and High School group is for 9th through 12th grade.

Our younger groups enjoy field trips to places like the fire station, planetarium and themed social events such as Friendsgiving (Thanksgiving celebration) and Valentine’s parties, as well as many other events.

Our Middle School and High School groups are very active with twice monthly activities, and lots of time for socializing. Game nights, mini golf, and a Monopoly Tournament are some of the activities that your teens can participate in. Teen Council and Yearbook are also open to all teens!

In addition to all of these activities, we host a Science Fair, a formal dance in the Spring, and a graduation ceremony each year. 

We look forward to meeting you, and having you join one of Central Missouri’s largest homeschool groups. We are sure that we have some activities that would be a good fit for your family.
