Membership Requirements
Membership Requirements
Application for membership is open to homeschooling families in Pitt County and surrounding areas that agree to support the Co-Op mission statement and respect the Co-Op core values.
While we don’t have restrictions on ages, families are recommended to have at least one participating child between the ages of 7-18. The majority of our Club and Connections activities will be planned to accommodate this age group. Younger siblings are often able to “tag-along” during Club Day and many Connection activities.
Application and Admission
Applications are accepted annually for Compass Rose Co-Op when membership opportunities are available. This typically coincides with the beginning of the Fall semester, and registration will generally open in May when available.
New families who wish to be considered for membership must:
- Complete the Co-Op application
- Agree to all Co-Op requirements and guidelines
- Complete an interview with New Member Team
There may be periods of time that Compass Rose Co-Op is closed to new members. During this time, families can express their interest using the "Join" link, and will be contacted with more information once membership opens.
Fees and Costs
Compass Rose Co-Op collects an annual fee of $130 per family. This fee covers membership into Compass Rose Co-Op, and provides access to our Co-Op community, as well as all of our planned Club Days, Connections, and Community events.
Families who participate in our weekly Club Day can generally expect to pay a supply fee of approximately $45 per child, per semester. Supply fees will vary based on semester offerings.
Additional fees for activities and events may be required, and may vary based on offerings. We strive to make participation as affordable as possible, and will keep additional fees to a minimum.
