Mrs. Ashley Washington To All Instructors

Ashley Washington is an artist, a homeschool mama of four children (ages 10, 6, 4, and 1½), and a firm believer that every child is born with a creative imagination just waiting to bloom! 

Ashley's love for art has been for as long as she can remember. She had the opportunity to further develop her skills by taking figure drawing courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Over the years, Ashley has explored just about every artistic medium imaginable—from watercolor and oil paint to mixed media, special effects makeup, henna tattoos and sculpture—but her heart always comes back to pencils, charcoal and soft pastels.

As an artist, Ashley loves combining reality with whimsy. You'll often find her work weaving together the beauty of nature with the human form, creating pieces that invite curiosity and wonder. Ashley believes art is about much more than making something beautiful—it's about seeing the world with imagination and expressing the unique stories inside each of us.

For the past three years, Ashley has been homeschooling her children, and one of her greatest joys is watching their confidence and creativity flourish through hands-on learning. That same passion is what Ashley hopes to bring to every child in Creative Sprouts.
